UPDATE REGARDING CORONAVIRUS
Dear Patients and Friends,
We have been closely monitoring the developments in regard to the Coronavirus outbreak. As part of the healthcare community, we have a commitment to the prevention and mitigation efforts going on across the country. Dental offices are included in the highest risk categories for transmission and contraction of the virus, due to the production of significant aerosols with most procedures. As such, we take our responsibility for safeguarding our patients and staff very seriously.
Due to the recent recommendations of the Iowa Dental Board, CDC, and ADA, our office will be temporarily closed to help slow the spread of COVID-19 in our community. At this time, the recommendation is to postpone all elective dental procedures for a period of three weeks. All scheduled appointments from 3/18/20 through 4/10/20 will be canceled, and we will be contacting patients to reschedule these appointments.
Since the management of this situation is rapidly changing, we will reassess this timeline and follow all recommendations from the governing organizations as to any changes that may become necessary.
We will be available for emergency situations such as toothaches with swelling of the surrounding tissues, fractured teeth with exposed nerve tissue, trauma that results in mobility or loss of a tooth. Emergency patients will be screened for any risk factors prior to their visit. Extra measures are being taken to ensure that our office is thoroughly disinfected by following the protocols advised by the Iowa Dental Board.
We take our commitment to our patients, staff, and community very seriously, and want to ensure you that we are doing everything we can to keep you safe. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we work through this difficult and unusual challenges.
